Our remit on phase 1 of this contract involved the installation the main road and sewer into the site. Project commencement was May 2012, and the road and sewer was completed on time at the start of July 2012. Despite the poor weather conditions we faced during this period.
Phase 2 involved the foundations, drainage, floor slab construction and externals. As of the start of December 2012, all plot foundations have been fitted and the externals have been carried out on the first 6 plots which are expected to be occupied by early in the new year. This site has offered a variety of groundwork challenges and working in a tight site has meant that keeping the appearance of the site neat at all times has been a challenge, but one which has been managed very well by the site manager.
